What we need and how to do it

Good lighting is a MUST!

We recommend outdoor photos not in direct sunlight.  Photos with a bright background will make the pet seem darker than they really are.  Just like when you take a picture of a loved one.

Don't worry about the background as that will be eliminated.

Take your photos down at your pets level.  Photos taken looking down on your pet distorts the scale.

  • A close up of your pets face straight on. (1 photo)

  • A close up of each side of your pets face.  (2 photos)

  • Photos of your pet in the pose that you want:

  •  front and both side views. and behind.  (4 photos)

  • Photos of your pet looking straight down if your pet is in a  standing pose.  (1 photo)

  • A total of 8 photos

  •

Try to maintain an equal distance for all pictures.

Save these photos to a jpeg file on your computer or in an album on your phone.

We need all of these photos to get your pet's scale and markings correct.
